Are these good shoes to run?
I've recently started running around my neighborhood (about 4 miles a day, 5 days a week) and I'm wondering if the shoes I'm using aren't suitable.
I have an old (a year or so) pair of plain, brown adidas. I've been told that adidas are very good with support. This is what the style of my shoe looks like:

Are these suitable shoes for running?
- I run on and off trails, and somewhat downhill.

Do you have any recommendations for properly stretching my ankles before and after running, because they're quite a bit sore.
